A father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarreling among themselves. When he failed to heal their disputes by his exhortations, he determined to give them a practical illustration of the evils of disunion; and for this purpose he one day told them to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they had done so, he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it. He next opened the faggot, took the sticks separately, one by one, and again put them into his sons' hands, upon which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words: "My sons, if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as this faggot, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies; but if you are divided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks."

The posture of your kitties seem just right. I like how the father's whiskers and facial details show is age more than just his size.
Nifty story as well :)

Sick in the head. Hurt me; after all I'm dead.

*snort* you said faggot *chuckle*

Very good looking kitties, very good looking cat. Middle kitty has a somewhat strange paw on that broken stick, but you prolly already knew that.

Humans do nothing to help the precious things of the world.
Why should the precious things have to help some human?

I did. It's a very odd perspective to draw kitty paws at, especially since my kitty references are currently living in New Jersey, and I decided it just didn't matter all that much since it was on the stick anyway. That, and unfortunately my classmates aren't that bright so they won't notice... ~_~

It's so crazy; you walked into the room that day, just like every other day...except this time...my heart skipped a beat.

Hee, I like. I like enough to favorite ^^ That's really cute, and the drawing's just beautiful. The word 'faggot' kinda makes it less cool, though. I know what it means, and I know the original meaning, but...

Well, I wasn't the one who wrote the story, and it seems like writing "bundle of sticks" every other word would make it seem even more immature... ~_~

Bushel. Bushel!!

It even has that old-world feel to suit the story. But the message is good. It's a pleasant surprise to see animals rendered so realistically by you, but maybe that's just me having been gone off DA for a while. That and the lovely texture of colours and lines, that you manage to pull off even though it's digitally rendered. It uh... IS digitally rendered, right?
